The Formlabs Form 4 Resin Tank is the OEM replacement resin tank for the Form 4 and Form 4B SLA 3D printers. The tank serves as the reservoir that holds liquid resin during printing and interfaces directly with the Light Processing Unit (LPU) optical system. Maintaining a fresh, undamaged tank is essential for consistent print quality and reliable build success.

Each resin tank has a finite usable lifetime measured by the total volume of resin processed through it. When the tank reaches the end of its rated life, or if the optical window becomes scratched or fouled, replacing it with a new OEM tank restores full print quality. Having a spare tank on hand also enables rapid material changeovers between different resin types without contamination risk.
