Formlabs Tough 1500 Resin V1 is an engineering photopolymer for the Form 2 and Form 3 SLA printers that combines moderate stiffness with significant elongation at break, simulating the behavior of ABS at a flexural modulus of approximately 1500 MPa - hence the name. It sits between Tough 2000 and Durable in the Formlabs engineering resin lineup, offering a balance point for applications that need parts to flex and absorb impact without fracturing, while retaining more stiffness than pure elastomeric resins.

Tough 1500 is particularly well suited for living hinges, snap-fit connectors, flexible brackets and housings, jigs that must bend to engage, and functional assemblies where repetitive flexing is part of normal operation. At 1 L per cartridge, it integrates with the standard Form 2 and Form 3 material management workflow. Post-processing with Form Wash and Form Cure produces fully cured parts with the specified mechanical properties.
