Formlabs Elastic 50A Resin V2 is the softest resin in the Formlabs Form 4 engineering lineup, with a Shore hardness of just 50A. It mimics the feel and behavior of silicone - stretchable, compressible, and able to recover its original shape after significant deformation - while retaining the geometric precision of SLA printing.

Elastic 50A V2 opens up a wide range of applications that rigid resins simply cannot address. Wearable device components that must conform to the body, anatomical models for medical training and patient communication, custom gaskets and seals, and highly flexible connectors are all natural fits. The silicone-like surface feel also makes it well suited for grips and soft-touch parts where tactile comfort matters. For firmer rubber-like behavior at Shore 80A, Flexible 80A Resin (article 210000005963) is available as a complementary option. The Form 3 version of this resin is also available (article 210000005939).
