Formlabs BioMed Elastic 50A Resin is a biocompatible, Class I and Class IIa (depending on contact duration) flexible photopolymer resin designed for the Form 3 and Form 3B SLA printers. With a Shore A hardness of 50, it produces parts that are very soft and highly elastic, closely mimicking the mechanical behaviour of soft tissue, silicone, or flexible medical-grade materials.

This resin is intended for medical device prototyping, patient-specific anatomical models, surgical planning aids, and wearable or skin-contact applications where biocompatibility is required. Its combination of skin-safe certification and extreme flexibility makes it the material of choice when functional testing of soft medical components is needed before committing to production tooling.
