Formlabs Alumina 4N Resin (Form 4) 2 kg (0.78 L)
Description
Formlabs Alumina 4N Resin is a ceramic-loaded photopolymer resin for the Form 4, designed to produce high-purity aluminium oxide (alumina) parts through a print-and-sinter workflow. After printing on the Form 4, green parts are washed and then sintered in a compatible furnace, burning away the polymer binder to yield dense alumina components with 99.99% (4N) purity. The resulting parts are hard, chemically inert, and stable at high temperatures - properties that traditional polymer or metal 3D printing cannot replicate.
Alumina 4N parts are used in high-frequency electronics, semiconductor tooling, industrial wear applications, and laboratory environments where chemical resistance and thermal stability are critical. The 2 kg cartridge (0.78 L by volume - reflecting the high density of the ceramic-loaded resin) is the standard supply unit for the Form 4's ceramic workflow. Sintering shrinkage is predictable and accounted for in Formlabs' PreForm software, which automatically scales geometry to compensate and deliver dimensionally accurate fired parts.
Key features
- Yields 99.99% (4N) purity aluminium oxide after sintering - offering hardness, wear resistance, and chemical inertness not achievable with polymer resins.
- High thermal stability: sintered alumina parts withstand extreme temperatures well beyond the limits of any printable polymer.
- Excellent chemical resistance for use in aggressive chemical environments, laboratory equipment, and semiconductor manufacturing.
- Print-and-sinter workflow via Form 4 and a compatible sintering furnace, with predictable and software-compensated shrinkage.
- 2 kg (0.78 L) cartridge format reflects the high density of the ceramic-loaded resin - sufficient for a productive series of technical parts.
- Tight dimensional control through PreForm's automatic shrinkage compensation, delivering accurate fired geometry without manual scaling.
