The Ultimaker S5 Air Manager provides a safe work environment and closed, inside-out airflow for the 3D printer. This is particularly beneficial for materials that are difficult to print. It filters up to 95% of all ultra-fine particles (UFPs) emitted during 3D printing and forms a safe, physical barrier to the print area.

The Ultimaker S5 controls the behavior of the fan in the Air Manager, which can make a big difference to print quality. For example, one material can handle a stronger airflow than another due to its susceptibility to warping due to rapid cooling. The airflow must also be adjusted at the beginning of the print, because the bottom layer has to adhere extra well. All this is taken care of automatically with the downloadable material profiles of all kinds of material manufacturers.
