The Formlabs Fuse Blast is a dedicated polishing and finishing system for SLS-printed parts, designed to work seamlessly within the Formlabs Fuse SLS ecosystem. It uses a tumbling media process to automatically smooth the characteristic powder-coated surface of nylon SLS parts, removing the matte, granular finish and producing uniformly smooth, professional-grade surfaces without time-consuming manual finishing.

The Fuse Blast is the natural complement to the Fuse 1+ and Fuse Sift, completing the end-to-end SLS workflow from printing through powder recovery to final part finishing. By automating the polishing step, it dramatically reduces post-processing time for batches of parts and delivers consistent results that are difficult to achieve manually. Compatible consumables include the Fuse Blast Polishing Media, Polishing Agent, and Polishing Mesh, all available separately.
