The Bambu Lab AMS (Automatic Material System) is the multi-material and multi-colour add-on that transforms compatible Bambu Lab FDM printers into powerful colour and material-switching machines. Each AMS unit holds up to four 1kg filament spools and feeds them automatically to the printer based on slicer instructions, enabling prints with up to four distinct colours or materials without manual intervention.

Up to four AMS units can be connected via the AMS Hub to a single printer, unlocking up to 16-colour multi-material printing from a single build plate. The AMS is compatible with Bambu Lab X1, X1C, P1P, P1S and related printers and integrates tightly with Bambu Studio for straightforward multi-colour print preparation.
