Bottom-up DLP 3D-printing using a glass resin tray will sometimes lead to cured resin getting stuck on the bottom of the resin tray. Most common cause is unsufficient support material to withstand the forces during the upward releasing movement of the build platform. The job will continue to print whith the model building up in the tray instead of on the build platform.
Removing the cured material from the tray can be difficult, because of the force needed to overcome the vacuum between material and glass. Trying to remove the material by hand will very often lead to scratching the coating on the glass.
To solve this issue Atum3D has developed a simple tool consisting of an alumunium puller and a uv flashlight. Just hold the puller on the cured resin (you may need to add a drop of resin), cure it with the the flashlight so it sticks to the puller and pull!
